Boveda 58% Humidity Pack

Boveda’s precise 2-way humidity control helps you protect your cigars, cannabis and other sensitive products, for maximum enjoyment—every time.

Protect terpenes with the global leader in 2-way humidity control. Place Boveda in packaging and/or storage for precise Relative Humidity (RH) to protect all the good stuff (terpenes, cannabinoids and flavonoids).

Choose 58% or 62% RH—a personal preference depending on how you prefer your experience or on what the humidity level is where you are. Some prefer 58% RH for personal-use products or 62% for larger herbal storage.

All-natural salts and purified water inside keep terpenes protected for 2-4 months in airtight containers. Just place it in a container, replace when Boveda is rigid.

Preserves the aroma, flavor and effectiveness until after the grind. Boveda creates a monolayer of purified water molecules that naturally coats trichomes to shield terpenes and cannabinoids preserving the aroma until use.

Do not mix Boveda RH levels within the same container, and do not use Boveda in the same container with other humidification products. They will fight against each other and reduce the efficiency of the Boveda.

Which size Boveda should I use for different cannabis/hemp weights?

  • Boveda 4 gr protect up to ~15 gr cannabis
  • Boveda 8 gr protect up to ~30 gr cannabis
  • Boveda 67 gr protect up to ~450 gr cannabis

Which RH level is right for cannabis/hemp?

Cannabis should be kept in the ideal range of .55-.65 relative humidity based on ASTM standards. Boveda helps you achieve precise humidity with a 58% RH option and a 62% RH option depending on your personal preference. You can’t go wrong with either RH. Test for yourself.

How much Boveda do I need to use?

You can’t use too much Boveda, it will never over humidify. If you choose a Boveda Humidity Control pack that is used for larger amounts than the amount that you store, it will simply last longer than a smaller Boveda.

When I opened the jar with Boveda, my cannabis didn’t really smell—what happened to the smell?

When your cannabis is stored with Boveda, the terpenes are protected with a monolayer shield of purified water, the aroma you love is kept safe until grinding. Once the cannabis is ground, it releases the aroma with great potency. Or in more detail, the aroma of your cannabis comes from the terpenes, or essential oils of your flower. So when you get a nice “nose hit” from your cannabis, you are actually smelling the terpenes evaporating off of your flower. So although in the past people have judged the quality of cannabis by the smell, strong aromas emanating from your cannabis is actually a sign of terpene degradation. Rather than these precious terpenes evaporating into the air, Boveda shields these terpenes inside of the trichomes where they belong, until the moment of consumption.

When do I replace my Boveda?

We recommend, writing the date you put your Boveda in the container on the Boveda, that way in a 2-4 months time when you open it back up, you can remember it is time to switch it out. If you wait until Boveda gets hard to the touch, you might start to lose those precious terps.

Please note, though, that hardening of the corners is normal and part of the usage process, and you can expect a 2-6 months usage life depending on your container and surrounding environment.

Be sure you do not try to re-activate your Boveda by submerging it in water or distilled water. Doing this will destroy the Boveda pack’s ability to provide precise humidity and may expose your cannabis/hemp to unhealthy humidity levels.
